As a contributing editor of Newsweek,Eleanor Clift has been in the center of Washington's political arena from Carter to Clinton. She regularly reports on the White House, Congress and the diverse personalities who make up the Washington power structure. Clift and her husband Tom Brazaitis, co-wrote the book, War Without Bloodshed: The Art of Politics and they are currently working on a new book titled Madam President, about the rise of women in politics and the prospects for women on the national ticket. She recently launched the nationally syndicated Clift Notes, daily radio reports in which she offers her observations and analyst of social, cultural and political issues. Ms. Clift also holds a regular seat on The McLaughlin Group, where she earned a reputation for being able to hold her own when debating issues of national and international importance with her more conservative colleagues. She has appeared as herself in the movies Dave, Rising Sun, Independence Day, and Murder at 1600 Pennsylvania, and in the TV comedy Murphy Brown. 901-754-9404.
