Cafe' Joyeux Speaker Biography
Our story began on a sailing boat in Brittany, France. At the steering wheel is Captain Yann Bucaille-Lanzerac, a successful French entrepreneur, sharing his energy and his passion for sailing with others on his catamaran.
On this boat, no accommodations were spared or details overlooked; it is equipped to welcome passengers of all levels of needs and abilities.
One passenger, a young man with Down Syndrome named Theo, asks the Captain “Do you have a job for me?”. The boisterous atmosphere suddenly changed as Yann replied that he did not, “It’s complicated you know...”. Theo was silent.
From this encounter, the vision of CAFÉ JOYEUX was born.
Accompanied by one (or more) of our extra-ordinary employees, we briefly introduce our mission and how we change the perception of disability, and we bring joy to your team.
We can turn it into a fuller experience by providing breakfast or lunch catering, gift bags for your attendees, and more.

The story of Café Joyeux offered a powerful reminder of what inclusive employment can look like when backed by vision and heart. The session was deeply engaging, with many attendees describing it as ‘outstanding’ and ‘innovative.’ The overall consensus was overwhelmingly positive—attendees appreciated the opportunity to learn about a global approach to inclusion and left the session energized, reflective, and eager to learn more. I, for one, ordered a cup of Café Joyeux coffee before the session was even over.
