Becoming Better: How to Unlock Our Full Potential

The New Year is an opportunity to reset and make goals and intentions for unlocking our potential.

Good News: Most people know how to incrementally move toward unlocking their full potential. The Reality: Few people know how to transformationally move toward unlocking their full potential. One of the main secrets to making this leap from incremental improvement to transformational improvement is to shift from focusing on doing better to becoming better. In this session, Ryan Gottfredson Ph.D., will help participants understand what it means to become better, what to focus on to become better, and how to make transformational movement toward becoming better -- All designed to make 2024 a year of significant growth of ourselves and our positive impact as a person, leader, and employee.

Vertical Development: The Key to Elevating Your Leadership
Being a positive influence to those in our sphere of influence is difficult in the best of times. But, we are facing unprecedented change, pressure, uncertainty, and complexity, which is making it substantially more difficult to be an effective leader. If we want to be a positive influence to those we lead, we need to elevate our capacity to navigate change, pressure, uncertainty, and complexity. This requires a focus on an underused form of development: vertical development (which differs from the typical horizontal development). In this session, you will learn what vertical development is, why it is so critical for your current and future success, and how to vertically develop to elevate your leadership.

Vertical Development: The Key to Transformational Leadership Development
75% of organizations rated their leadership development programs as not very effective and 71% of organizations do not feel their leaders are able to lead their organizations into the future (BrandonHall Group, 2015). These statistics suggest that typical and traditional leadership development efforts are not currently meeting the demands of today's leaders. A new approach is needed. In this session, Ryan Gottfredson, Ph.D., and Wall Street Journal best-selling author, will introduce what vertical development is, how it differs from traditional horizontal development efforts, and how you can employ vertical development in your organization to transformationally elevate your leaders.

Level Up Your Leadership
Most leadership development programs don't actually help leaders level up. They focus on horizontal development, which helps them level out (i.e., develop new knowledge and skills). But, if we want to level up in our ability to transform our organizations or effectively lead amidst increasing change, pressure, uncertainty, and complexity, we need to level up. This requires vertical development. In this workshop, you will be presented with cutting-edge leadership development thought by a Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author of Success Mindsets, Ryan Gottfredson. He will help us awaken to our current vertical altitude, and inspire and guide us to elevate, or level up.

VIRTUAL The Power of Mindsets

Ryan presents his findings on putting together the most comprehensive, specific, and research-backed source of mindset knowledge to date.

He also has developed a personal mindset assessment to help organizations, leaders, and people identify:

1. What mindsets are out there
2. What mindset drive success and effectiveness
3. What mindsets they have and,
4. How to improve their mindsets: He has used this assessment to help dozens of organizations (including CVS Health, Deutsche Telekom, American Airlines, and Mondelez) develop their leaders from their most foundational level: their mindsets.

Developing an Agile Workplace

Ensuring your workforce can keep up with changing and challenging market conditions requires promoting and developing agile mindsets.

Cutting-edge Leadership Development

Enhancing leaders’ self-awareness at their most foundational level: their mindsets. When leaders awaken to their mindsets, they become empowered to change their leadership from “their best” to “THE best.”

Making Your Organization Future-Ready

Developing the characteristics of future success is less about doing things differently, and more about thinking differently. How primed your organization is to think in terms of future success? Where should your organization focus to ensure it has the characteristics to capture future success?
