Romi Marie Speaker Biography

Welcome to the reintroduction of Romi Marie.

Paired with an unmatched self-love, she wears every identity like a badge of honor: bisexual, entrepreneur, divorcee, mother.

After spending time as a 3-season cast member of Showtime’s reality TV series The Real L Word in her 20s, Romi became a public figure overnight. The show provided Romi the opportunity to see the impact being vulnerable and open about one’s sexuality could have on others. Taken aback by the response, she began seeing her life’s purpose become much clearer and has since dedicated herself to creating safe spaces for those to discover their inner and outer beauty.

As a keynote speaker and identity coach, Romi cultivates these safe spaces and works directly with those who need the comfort of these safe spaces to openly express themselves and to the family members who are struggling to show support. She works with LGBTQIA+ folks who are struggling with their identities, families of the LGBTQIA+ community and those who are still navigating their own journeys.

No other identity has given Romi Marie as much purpose as motherhood has. And while society engraves in women that being a good mother means being a perfect woman, Romi sees it differently. By acknowledging the inescapable truths within herself and teaching her daughter to do the same, she’s breaking the mold and empowering other women as she goes.

As part of her continued personal mission to be a voice and advocate for women, she began co- hosting The EFF IT Madres podcast with her best friend and fellow life coach Carla Zuniga. Two Latina “Mompreneurs” discussing their own experiences of embracing life-altering choices as mothers, taking bold risks, and making significant moves in improving their lives.

The utmost important lesson she wants her daughter to know: Your story doesn’t own you and only you have the real power to let it.
