Mike Madrid Speaker Biography

Mike Madrid is a nationally recognized expert on Latino voting trends whose work over the last two decades has affected the outcomes of elections and political campaigns across the U.S. His involvement in local, state, and federal races has helped him to develop a mastery of the successful characteristics of winning campaigns and has made him an asset to those he supports.

Madrid served as Moorpark College Associated Student body president and was appointed by CA Gov. Pete Wilson as student representative on the California Community College Board of Governors during the early 1990s. Madrid later transferred to and graduated from Georgetown University, where he wrote asenior thesis centered on Latino voters and Latino politics—research that was foundational in his career in strategic Latino communications and outreach in California, Texas, Florida, and nationwide. His expertise led him to assume a variety of crucial roles in California politics, including with the state Republican party, the League of California Cities, and the California Redevelopment

National Impact and Pioneering Latino Political Strategy
Mike Madrid has been a nationally recognized political consultant and authoritative voice on Latino voters for three decades. A pioneer in Latino communications and outreach strategies in state, local, and national political campaigns, Madrid is one of the few consultants in the country who has transcended party lines working for major campaigns on both sides of the aisle.

In 2020, Madrid co-founded the Lincoln Project, a Republican anti-Trump organization. Mike was an adjunct lecturer on Race, Class and Partisanship at the University of Southern California in Spring 2021 and is currently a Senior Fellow at UC Irvine School of Social Ecology.

Madrid is the author of the book titled “The Latino Century”, published by Simon and Schuster and was released on June 18, 2024.
