Mike Eisenberg Speaker Biography
Mike Eisenberg is the director of To Err Is Human: A Patient Safety Documentary, which released on Amazon and iTunes in 2019. He has been a filmmaker since 2010 with his production company, Tall Tale Productions, after completing his B.A. in Journalism at Marietta College in Ohio.
In 2006, Mike was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the MLB Draft and played 3 seasons of professional baseball before beginning his career as a filmmaker. He now speaks at hospitals, universities, and conferences, where his insight provides a new perspective on a problem that persists across the globe.
Mike’s father, Dr. John Eisenberg, was a leader in national patient safety efforts as the director of the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ) until his passing in 2002. His legacy is prevalent throughout Mike’s presentation, as well as his approach.

Mike’s experience as a filmmaker, professional athlete, and son of a patient safety pioneer put him in the unique position of a perspective you’ve likely not heard before. Mike has infused his father’s positive (and sometimes humorous) approach into every presentation, by sharing the success stories of others. Instead of focusing on the horror stories that come with preventable harm in medicine, Mike brings an anecdotal approach that leaves his audience with tangible ideas that can be implemented immediately.
