NEW TOPIC:

How the Media Has Changed.

Joan Lunden explains the evolving relationship between the Press, the Public and Politics. It used to be that when there was a controversial topic, the viewer never knew the interviewer's personal opinion. Nowadays it's completely the opposite! Many times, you know exactly how the interviewers feels.

For example, one time on Good Morning America, Joan was interviewing Tipper Gore (Vice President Al Gore's wife) and rocker, Frank Zappa. Tipper Gore felt it was important to move certain music under the shelves so younger children wouldn't see them. Frank Zappa was an outspoken critic of censorship to rock and roll and was firmly against this!

It made for quite an interesting and lively interview! Joan asked the questions, and no one knew her opinion!

Things have changed dramatically and Joan can give an expert view and discuss where people are getting their news today (for example, their phones) and how to determine what's real and what might be made up.
