Leadership Speaker Chad Foster, First Blind Graduate from Harvard Business School Signs Exclusively with Executive Speakers Bureau
Chad Foster is an inspiration to many as the first blind graduate from Harvard Business School’s program for leadership development. After this monumental feat, he went on to cement a long, lasting legacy in the financial and technology space. Beginning his career at Accenture, Foster has since gone on to create a consulting firm that generates over $45 billion in tech contracts. Not only does he turn obstacles into opportunities in the boardroom, but he exercises this mentality on slopes as well as a blind black diamond skier.
In 2020, as the pandemic unfurled, Foster understood that society was at a breaking point. There seemed to be a communal fear of the future and unhappiness with the cards that had been dealt. This was a feeling all too familiar for Foster. Inspired by the challenges he faced when he lost his eyesight while attending college in his early twenties (and continues to face to this day) he wrote his first book, Blind Ambition: How To Go From Victim To Visionary, in hopes of helping other through his experiences overcoming obstacles and championing resilience. He currently travels the country delivering powerful keynote presentations and high-impact workshops to corporate audiences, leadership and sales teams, and professional athletes.
Passionate about teaching the importance of resilience to audiences, Foster is vocal about what going blind as a young adult was like, and the immediate fear and uncertainty that was thrust upon him. He had to relearn how to be a student, committing to figuring out a way to listen to the recorded audio of textbooks, class lectures, and notes. He ultimately became an even stronger student than before. Despite his newfound challenge, he made the Dean’s List, setting himself up for an illustrious career at one of the top consulting firms in technology.
A true inspiration, Foster is clear in his belief that victims stay trapped and visionaries bounce back. He is an expert in teaching the overcomer mindset to his audiences, with a gifted ability to hone in on the experience of how to rise above any roadblock. Candidly teaching about how to identify your own blind spots and overcome them to become stronger than ever, Foster is a wealth of motivational knowledge that has proven to be life-changing. And when he’s not sharing his unique mindset, he’s taking his own advice and pushing past obstacles to live outside of his comfort zone as an accomplished skier. You can count on impactful and insightful keynotes from Foster as his advice goes beyond the stage.
