Alex Kip- Public Speaking Reel

Alex Kip- Public Speaking Reel

Alex Kip is a personal development coach, speaker, singer, and author of “My Other Voice,“ named “Best of the Best” by the Detroit Free Press.  He’s been called a “Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Hero” and has spread his message of hope to major clients like UnitedHealthcare, Nationwide Insurance, and the University of Michigan as a leading expert on personal development, young adult cancer, and the arts.  Alex has been featured on PBS, NPR Stations, the Huffington Post, Syfy, Chiller TV, feature films like “The Avengers,” and stages across the country.  His unique understanding of survivorship, blended with his performance training from the University of Michigan, and training as a Tony Robbins-Cloe Madanes Strategic Interventionist is reinventing the way organizations and individuals think.

So how did he get here?  Since Alex was six he’s been performing on stages, eventually ending up at the University of Michigan in the best musical theatre program in the country.  He thought he was Superman, his superpower was his voice… then, everything changed…

Two weeks before graduation, he was diagnosed with cancer and later told he had a 15-30% chance of survival.  But for him, the worst news had already been realized: during his treatment, he lost his singing voice.  Suddenly Superman was falling from the sky, as kryptonite found it’s way into his body.  Still, he knew he would fly again if he fought with all he had.  And he did.  For over two years he fought with all his strength and survived!

Now in complete remission with his voice restored, he’s combining his story, performance skills, and coaching style as a Tony Robbins-Cloe Madanes Certification student to reinvent the way organizations and people think.  Given a second chance at life, he knows his talents are meant to contribute to the world at large rather than for his own personal gain.  From giving keynotes at conferences like the UnitedHealthcare National Conference to emceeing major events like Pelotonia for over 7,000 people, he’s living out that vision.
More importantly, he teaches others how to live out that vision!  For instance, after speaking at the UnitedHealthcare National Conference he started a kindness card revolution where over 300 cards were written for patients in need giving birth to larger kindness card initiative within the company.  Alex is obsessed with making his message unique by delivering powerful content through engaging stories, content, songs, and videos that will challenge and change you.
His biggest hope is that everyone follows their bliss and shines their light on this world.  Through direct interaction, he’ll show you how to spread light in other people's darkness.

Patient Power

In this keynote, Alex shares his experience as a young adult cancer patient in a deeply moving and inspiring way.  He offers corporations insight on how to effectively communicate and engage with their consumers while encouraging everyone to find their own power.  Corporations like UnitedHealthcare have already implemented his ideas and thoughts on kindness towards patients.  He also offers insight to patients on how to be a healthcare consumer.

Community In Art

Alex tells the story about how his play MY OTHER VOICE made it from the hospital room to the stage.  He stresses the importance of community engagement and the role that the arts play in deepening those ties.  Using real testimonies from medical students, physicians, and doctors who saw his show, he's able to prove that the arts can heal and teach in ways that no other form can.

Moving Forward

Alex shares practical strategies and tips on how to recover from a life altering diagnosis.  By combining scientific research based on his own experience he is able to create a compelling argument that, "the way we look at the world is the way we see the world."  In the end, it is our choice.

Young Adult Navigation

Cancer is the number one disease killer of young adults today.  Too often, this statistic is overlooked and Alex hopes empower young adults everywhere.  By shedding light into this epidemic, he exposes many of the reasons why and what can be done to change it.

Your Health Matters

Alex uses his story of survival to illustrate the importance of taking care of your body so that it takes care of you.  He tells the story of how he rode 100 miles after six rounds of chemotherapy and how he transformed his eating habits, proving that anyone can develop a healthy lifestyle.  As a certified personal trainer, he leaves the audience with practical tips that can be implemented right away.
