Jane Bryant Quinn steers you through the best ways of balancing safety and risk, in your 401(k)s and other investments. She covers how much you really need to save; sound investment allocations; new areas of investment growth; and the role of home equity, health insurance and mutual funds. Making the Most of Your Money Today

In an inspiring talk for people of all ages, Jane Bryant Quinn gives advice and ideas on managing money. She starts with the current economic environment to help her audience understand the critical issues of the day. From there, she moves into financial planning, including practical tips on how to save more, borrow more efficiently, buy the right health and life insurance, set up the best college fund, choose good investments for your 401(k) and IRA, and avoid investment loss. You need to be able to pay your bills yet keep enough money in your accounts to last for life. Jane Bryant Quinn gives audiences timely, practical and encouraging advice for drawing on savings without giving up their personal security. Her topics include such things as understanding how much you can afford to withdraw, what to put in stocks and what in bonds, handling IRAs and 401(k)s, whether to use annuities and mobilizing home equity. Quinn also reviews how to avoid common big investment traps, sending audiences away with hands-on financial strategies to use now—and in the future.

Why Women Are (and Can Be!) Great Investors

The notion that women are timid investors just isn’t true. Women with the same amount of investing experience as men invest just as assertively. So, for everyone, gaining that knowledge and experience is the key to investment success. Jane Bryant Quinn provides women with straightforward advice on how to learn, how to practice and how to make good investment choices, while avoiding common traps. Quinn also discusses the important—but rarely discussed—lessons on how couples should invest, including meshing dual 401(k)s, planning for the risk of divorce, and organizing savings and investments for the woman’s longer life span. Quinn’s presentation will empower and enlighten all women investors—from the new stock-owner to the experienced portfolio holder.
