David McBee

David McBee became interested in Internet Marketing while working in the Yellow Pages industry several years ago. As an early adopter of technology, David showed an aptitude for Internet. He became the Internet Training Manager, traveling the country and teaching hundreds of yellow pages reps about Internet Marketing. As David developed and presented training classes to his reps each week, he discovered that he had a talent for public speaking and training,

At this time, he also started his blog, "Let’s Translate. Making Sense Out of Internet Gobbledygook" for both his yellow pages reps and the business owners he worked with.  This blog explains complex internet marketing concepts in a way that anyone can understand and occasionally serves as David’s podium for whatever is on his mind at the time.

"I’ve been working with business owners most of my life. Many of them have told me I have a way of translating technical jargon into explanations that the average person can understand. That's what makes me so effective as a speaker, an educator and a consultant."

The American Rental Association, and several other organizations have hired David  to speak to groups of business owners about Internet Marketing and Social Media. David usually teaches overview classes with specific action plans for small and medium business, but can create more advanced classes upon request. (Example: David speaks on advanced link building concepts for SEO professional organizations.)

Education is important to David. He stays informed of the latest trends impacting the field of Internet Marketing while also consuming materials that continually improve him as a professional.

David is married to his best friend and is the proud father of a Boy Scout Video Game Junkie and a Soccer-Basketball-Piano Princess. He’s into Jeeps, smoking meat, camping, gadgets and superheroes. To book marketing and social media speaker David McBee call Executive Speakers Bureau 901-754-9404.

Internet Marketing: Get Up To Speed

This seminar is ideal for business owners looking to better understand the many channels of internet marketing. David provides a brief overview of each and then goes into the pros and cons of using Search Engine Optimization, Pay-Per-Click Advertising, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+, Pinterest, and Online Videos. Business owners will get a feel for which strategies are best for their business and also know how much of their time or money they should invest into each channel. Most recently, the American Rental Association hired David to present this seminar at The 2013 Rental Show in Las Vegas and it was scored as one of the most popular seminars of their event.

2013 SEO Strategies

Ideal for advanced internet marketing professionals, this session looks at current algorithms and strategies for effectively ranking in 2013 including a Panda & Penguin overview, the value of content and authorship, content strategies to avoid, anchor text best practices, how to build quality links, and using Infographics for SEO, traffic and social media signals. This seminar has been well received at SEO Meetup organizations and may be somewhat advanced for business owners unless they have an above average understanding of SEO, specifically offsite SEO.

The Power of Infographics

If you are looking to learn about an advanced internet marketing strategy, this might be the seminar for your group. Infographics are becoming increasingly popular for SEO, traffic and social media. Learn more about how you can use this strategy. This session covers why Infographics are so effective, where to find infographics, the three rules for creating great infographics, how to distribute infographics for great backlinks, how to promote infographics in social media, and an open group brainstorming session. Attendees will leave this session armed with ideas for an infographic as well as a game plan for creating the infographic and promoting it for the best results.

Offsite SEO: Backlink Strategies

All too often, businesses focus their efforts on optimizing their websites' “on page” content, forgetting how important offsite SEO (AKA link building) is for great search results. In this seminar learn why backlinks are so important, what makes a good backlink, backlinks to avoid, webmaster outreach strategies, backlink tools, and different kinds of backlinks. This seminar is ideal for webmasters interested in creating a residual SEO product for their clients or for in-house SEO professionals. Because link building strategies change on a regular basis, this seminar will be updated for your group depending on what’s going on with SEO at the time of the presentation.

Social Media by the Numbers

Perfect for business owners looking to get a handle on exactly how to enter into the world of social media. In this seminar, David explains the differences between the different social media channels, how to set up profile pages on Facebook, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest and Twitter, an introduction to Hootsuite, how to get your content seen by the greatest number of users, and how to engage users and get your content shared. Attendees will leave this session with a to-do list and a plan for exactly how to make the most of social media for their business.

Facebook for Business – ENGAGE!

Facebook is hugely popular, but do you know how best to leverage the millions of users and the hours and hours they spend on Facebook? This seminar will teach you how important Facebook is for your business, how to set up profile page for your business, how to engage users in the social community, what is EdgeRank and how to use it to your advantage, the WRONG ways to use Facebook, and setting expectations. Attendees will leave this seminar with a game plan to take their Facebook strategy to the next level.
