Anyone Can Get Organized, Even You

Anyone Can Get Organized, Even You

Keynote speaker Andrew Mellen is a skilled and engaging motivational speaker and an organizational expert. His workshops and seminars offer practical skills and techniques in easy-to-understand language and have helped thousands of people to unstuff their lives.
Andrew will design a program to meet your needs — whether a keynote address, breakout sessions or a stand-alone workshop. Offering real advice and answers, Andrew's humorous and no-nonsense presentations deliver tangible results.
Learn from "the most organized man in America" how to clear away the clutter and other obstacles that are keeping you from what's really important. Whether you're looking for the scissors or for personal transformation, Andrew offers direct and practical solutions for both.
Andrew's mother gets a kick whenever she hears him described as "the most organized man in America." She still remembers telling him to pick up my room ...
Andrew was born in Detroit and spent the first 24 years of his life in Michigan (Winter Wonderland and Great Lake State). No siblings but some great friends. He graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in theater and languages along with plenty of union suits, wool socks and things stuffed with goose down. Those are some long winters in the U.P. (Upper Pennisula).
He put himself through college with scholarships, roleplaying in the graduate psych department, and by playing drums in several local bands. After graduation, TV, films and theater work provided a steady income — he worked throughout the country at regional theaters and Off-Broadway, and was in the film The Untouchables. Mellen says, "Patricia Clarkson won't remember me, but I sat directly behind and to the side of her for several days during the climactic trial scene. We chatted between takes."
His work has been featured widely in the media, including The Nate Berkus Show, O, The Oprah Magazine, Martha Stewart Living Today, Ladies' Home Journal, Oprah & Friends, GQ, Women's Day, Instyle, HGTV and NPR, as well as many others.
He also spent six months touring the U.S. performing site-specific improvisational theatre exclusively in prisons and penitentiaries. Ask him about that sometime.
Eventually, he landed in New York and added administrative work to his portfolio. That led to being recruited to serve as the artistic and producing director of several theaters and art centers (Shuttle Theater Company, DC Arts Center (DCAC), Alice B. Theater). He was nominated for and won some awards, served on panels and led seminars for The Smithsonian Institution, various arts commissions and assorted universities.
Andrew is the author of several full-length plays, including My Life as Kim Novak and A Good List, and his first book, Unstuff Your Life! has been published by Penguin (August, 2010).
Today he brings his collective and creative problem solving skills to individuals and businesses who find that they have too much to do, not enough time to get it all done and more than likely, too much stuff.
Or stated more simply, he helps folks to live the lives they choose.
From failing phone systems to fundraising campaigns, from forensic bookkeeping to finding the perfect gift, from relocating households or corporations, he finds there's little that he can't do and even less that we can't do together.
Whether he's working privately with a client or teaching a room full of people, he is committed to putting real and useful skills into the hands of whomever he is with.
There is enough time for what's important and his job is to help you clear away any and every thing that stands between you and fulfillment and satisfaction.
Let's see what we can do to set you free from clutter and disorganization and get you back in control,
once and for all.
  • Never lose your keys, cell phone or wallet again
  • Stopping mail, magazine and paper pile ups for good
  • Getting a handle on e-mail, computer files and photos
  • Successfully managing gifts and sentimental and inherited objects
  • Gaining confidence and tackling bills, budgets and financial planning
  • Identifying and living your values so that what you love is what you actually do
  • Creating a life of meaning and comfort, without fear of economic uncertainty
  • Effectively downsizing with compassion, personally or professionally
  • Getting past your feelings and reclaiming your spaces and life from all that stuff
