Change is Here to Stay (No Matter Who Wins in November)

Republicans have campaigned to dismantle the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) but parts of healthcare reform, particularly Value-Based Care, aren’t going away. Dr. Luke explains why.

Brutally Honest

A straight-talker who shakes up the status quo, Dr. Luke’s tell all book “Ex-Acute” takes an unflinching, nonpartisan look at what’s wrong with healthcare in America from the perspective of a former hospital CEO. He shares key points all Americans need to know to navigate the evolving system.

The Fee-for-Service Free for All

Dr. Luke explains how the United States’ dominant physician payment method raises costs and discourages efficiencies, and what can be done about it.

The Quota-Based Physician: Forget About Your Health, It’s About Your Doctor’s Income

Dr. Luke reveals how post-acute hospital owners and operators have created a system that is not patient-centric and “borders on unethical,” and why “quota-based physician-ing” has become entrenched in some doctors’ daily routines.

Why Your Family’s Health Care Costs Will Continue to Increase

One of the three goals of healthcare reform is to reduce costs. Dr. Luke tells why that won’t happen in this decade – and what people can do to meet the challenge.

When Alzheimer’s Hits Home

Both of Dr. Luke’s grandmothers suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, and now his mother is in the advanced stages of the debilitating illness, which afflicts 5.3 million Americans ¬– 1 in 9 over age 65. With millions more cases expected as Baby Boomers age and costs for care skyrocketing, Dr. Luke discusses the search for a cure, and what people can do to prepare.

Caring for Aging Parents and Selecting a Senior Facility

Dr. Luke shares tips for understanding the different levels of care seniors need and choosing the best senior care.

Right to Die? Your Choices for End-of-Life Care

Dr. Luke has worked as an administrator in hospice and skilled nursing care. He helps people better understand their end-of-life choices.

Healthcare Concerns of Young Parents

An evangelical Christian who attends a California mega-church, Dr. Luke hears from many young families concerned about their healthcare choices. He shares what parents need to know to assure the best care for their kids, including tips for moms to access quality care in a managed care world.

How Millennials Are Changing Everything

What are the major trends shaping the future? Dr. Luke, a “proud Gen X-er,” discusses how the Millennial Generation is shaping not only healthcare but our economy and society.

Are We Headed for a Single-Payer System?

Dr. Luke shares why America is reaching a tipping point on how high a family’s or business’s medical costs can go before they opt out and pay cash in emergencies, and what a government-run system would mean for access to care.

Work For Yourself? What You Need to Know

Dr. Luke discusses the best healthcare alternatives for people who work independently and are not covered by company insurance plans.

Investing In the Healthcare Space

From his research as a consultant for investment firms and brokers, Dr. Luke discusses investing in value-based care services such as long-term acute care, assisted living, home health, rehab and others.

Playing in the Majors, Sports to Healthcare

An avid Dodger’s fan (his brother played for the Dodgers and Angels in the late 1990s), Dr. Luke switched from a career in sports marketing and PR to become a thought leader in healthcare 20 years ago. He shares his story and lessons he’s learned from both.

Marina Del Rey Hospital, President & Chief Executive Officer

Josh’s presentation gives every hospital CEO reason to pause and consider if there are opportunities to generate revenue in the post acute space in their own market. I am intrigued with Josh’s presentation related to revenue stream generation.

Adaptive Business Leaders, President

When I was in search of an outstanding speaker on Population Management for our Healthcare Round Table, I asked the Regional Administrator for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services for his recommendation. And he said, “Call Josh Luke. He’s the best speaker out there teaching people how to prepare for the changes ahead.

Healthcare Executive

Josh Luke is the Tony Robbins of health care! His presentation was equally inspiring, educational and informative. If you want a peak into what the health system of the future looks like and how to position your organization, his presentation is a must see!

Primary HomeCare

Wow! Dr. Luke’s presentation was not only one of the most informative presentations I have ever seen on the health system of the future, but entertaining as well. He utilizes stories to illustrate and help visualize the real-life experiences that foreshadow what to expect in the future.
