Selling Saturdays: Blue Chip Sales Tips from College Football
Let's face it...the sales profession in any industry is highly competitive even when times are good. But if you think your work is competitive, you wouldn't believe the marketing and selling skills that are necessary to build a championship football team! In this thought-provoking presentation, award-winning author Jeff Beals shares the sales-and-marketing secrets he learned by interviewing legendary college football coaches. You'll become more effective at marketing, selling and building interpersonal relationships by learning how famous coaches battle their competition in the brutally competitive race to sign the nation's most prized, blue-chip athletes. Learn how coaches qualify prospects, identify influencers, make sales presentations, overcome objections and close big deals. You’ll get several easy-to-implement sales tactics you can use right away. This mind-boggling presentation is part soap opera, part mystery novel and part action-suspense movie. When the presentation comes to a close, your attendees will be inspired and motivated to pick up the phone, hit the streets and close deals! By the way, this presentation can be customized for salespersons OR sales managers. This presentation is offered as a keynote, break-out or workshop.
How to Market & Sell in Brutally Competitive Environments
Today’s marketplace is simultaneously the best and worst in the history of human civilization. It’s the best because untold and unprecedented opportunity awaits savvy and sharp-eyed professionals. It’s the worst because there has never before been a market so loud, crowded and full of competing distractions jockeying for your clients’ attention. In this brutally competitive market, cutting-edge products, good service, your personal talent and hard work are no longer enough. You need a differentiating factor. In this presentation, award-winning author Jeff Beals uses story-telling and humor to show you that successful sales-and-marketing professionals beat their competition by unearthing what their clients truly value while building trusting, career-long relationships. This presentation is offered as a keynote speech, break-out session and a workshop.
Sales = Storytelling
From civilization's earliest days, humans have been captivated by stories. That's why high-producing sales pros use stories to educate, persuade and reassure prospects. The key to making a winning sales pitch is to paint a picture with memorable stories.
This humorous and story-filled presentation shows you how to increase profitability by harnessing the power of stories:
- What makes an effective sales story
- How to discover your company's unique stories
- When to use a story to disarm a hostile client
- How stories can save a deal about ready to die
- Why stories help you overcome objections
- When you become a master storyteller, it becomes easier to capture greater market share!
Goal-Based Networking: How to Turn Your Social Life into Profitable Relationships
Networking has never been more important, yet most professionals don’t do a great job of it. The successful professionals are the ones who cut through all the noise in today’s frenzied world and find ways to build trusting relationships with clients, colleagues and persons of influence. Now is the time to get out and meet new people! This session will introduce you to “goal-based networking,” a technique that sharply focuses your communication efforts. You will learn what to say, when to say it and to whom you should say it. You will learn how to synthesize social media with traditional networking. Once you master goal-based networking, your colleagues will be left wondering just how you became so well connected both locally and within your profession.
Tons of Room at the Top: The Attitude & Altitude of Success
In today’s competitive environment, it’s critically important to approach your life and your career with a pro-success attitude. In this presentation, Jeff Beals shows you how to develop success-friendly attitudes and habits so you can reach the pinnacle of human existence. Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher once said, “People think that at the top there isn’t much room. They tend to think of it as an Everest. My message is that there is tons of room at the top.” She was right. Anyone can scale the mountain and reach the peak by adopting certain habits and practices. This traditional, “motivational” speech provides audience members with a liberating message, because with the right attitude, greater success is always within your grasp. Success starts and ends with you. By the way, there is an optional version of this speech that incorporates stories from “Selling Saturdays.” This presentation is offered as a keynote speech or a break-out session.
From “Don’t Know You” to “Can’t Live without You”
This presentation is geared toward college students and younger professionals. Jeff Beals argues that the key to landing a great position is to prove that you are the solution to the hiring manager’s problem, and then move the hiring manager from a point in time when they don’t even know you to another point when they believe they can’t live without you. Audience members learn how to use both the resume and interview phases to manipulate the hiring process in their favor. This presentation is offered as a keynote speech or a break-out session.
Facilitator & Emcee
In addition to serving as a keynoter and workshop leader, Jeff Beals is also available as an emcee or a corporate retreat facilitator.
