Thriving in Tomorrow's World: Today, we are increasingly rejecting past approaches to stable careers and lives constructed around safety, security, and status. Rather, we are building our lives around purpose, connection, and impact using a distinctively entrepreneurial mindset. This phenomenon is being embraced by new generations of leaders, and the emergence of life entrepreneurship has significant implications for our workplaces, communities, and learning institutions—as well as our very lives. Pulling from extensive research, case studies, and interviews, the authors explore these disruptive trends and offer strategies and insights to organizations and individuals who want to thrive in tomorrow's world. (Ideal for higher education leadership, executives, non-profit leaders, and community leaders.)
Creating an Entrepreneurial Team: In today's flat world and disruptive economy, opportunities abound. Yet many managers have their head down trying to meet their quarterly numbers or social impact targets. How can today's leaders embrace the entrepreneurial mindset and challenge their employees to recognize new opportunities on the horizon and seize them strategically? Drawing on interviews with entrepreneurial leaders world-wide for their book, Life Entrepreneurs, Christopher Gergen and Gregg Vanourek (themselves successful entrepreneurs) coach listeners through the entrepreneurial path, including awakening to opportunity, envisioning the future, developing entrepreneurial goals and strategies, and taking action and making a difference. Today's companies and non-profit organizations cannot compete without the entrepreneurial edge. Is your team ready? (Ideal for executives of corporations and non-profit organizations, government agencies, and trade associations.)
Ramping Up Performance: Does the following sound familiar? Your company has languished with mediocre performance. You make adjustments but your organization is stuck. A breakthrough is needed. To rise above, your team must step back, creatively spot opportunities on the horizon, and develop an action plan and resource strategy that leverage your strengths and shatters the status quo—all while remaining true to your values. Sounds straightforward, but what's the best path? Pulling from personal experiences and war stories of fellow entrepreneurs, proven entrepreneurs and published authors Christopher Gergen and Gregg Vanourek switch audiences on to the path from mediocre to extraordinary performance. (Ideal for executives of companies and non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs, and government agencies.)
