Inspirational Speaker Diane Sieg - "From Chaos to C.A.L.M."
From the chaos of the emergency room to the calm of her yoga mat, professional speaker, published author, certified yoga teacher, and life coach Diane Sieg will give you life-saving strategies by showing you how to take care of yourself, take charge of your life, and take daily action!
With high energy and heartfelt stories, her opening keynote sets a positive tone to start your meeting or her closing keynote ends your conference with a bang, sending your group home with a clear and strong message about the importance of life balance and self care.
Audiences leave with the permission and practical skills they need to be more authentic, productive, and balanced in every area of their lives. Diane holds the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation, the highest certification for a speaking professional, earned by less than 10% of the professional speakers in the world.
As an emergency room nurse for over 20 years, I have seen it all. The 40-year-old executive who fell asleep at the wheel because she was too tired. The electrician with 80 percent of his body burned because he got too distracted. The young mother of four who ignored the lump in her breast the size of a grapefruit!
So many of the patients I treated had one common denominator—they were trying to do too much, too fast, too often. All were living in chaos!
Although I literally put people back together in the ER, I have always been more interested in empowering people to breakthrough and take care of themselves before they break down. As a professional speaker since 1996, I have spoken to thousands of men and women in health care, sales, banking and women’s conferences. I have also been involved in the health and fitness field for over 20 years, as a lifesaving coach, seminar leader, personal trainer, and fitness instructor teaching everything from kick-boxing to my current passion, yoga.
I wrote my first book, STOP Living Life Like an Emergency, because I wanted to illustrate how so many of us were living in such a frenetic state of more, better, faster. While I was very close to this material as a nurse and as your typical overachiever, in recent years life events have allowed me to go deeper with my personal journey. My most recent work focuses on teaching people how to move from chaos to calm by increasing their awareness and setting their intentions with a daily practice.
My professional memberships include the National Speakers Association, National Speakers Association-Colorado, Colorado Author’s League, American Association of Lifestyle Counselors and the Sigma Theta Tau Honorary Nursing Organization. I am grateful to be so well-connected with the professional relationships and personal support that have made writing Voice Lessons possible.
I have lived in Colorado for the past 20 years and can’t imagine living anywhere else since I love to be outside as much as I can. I have two nephews who I adore and still consider “my boys” even though they are 18 and 20 and wear size 15 shoes! I stay sane and active with yoga, gardening, hiking, and biking. Reclaiming the Spirit of Nursing
Do you remember when you first decided to become a nurse? For most, the decision was a defining moment—not only for you, but for every hand you have held, every brow you have wiped and every tear you have shared with patients and their families since. But short staffing, increased acuities and complexities of care provide daunting challenges for nurses everywhere. And sometimes we lose our spirit in it all.
Let Diane challenge and inspire you to reclaim your passion and pride for nursing by finding your voice so that you can continue to inspire your staff, your peers and most importantly, yourself!
She uses personal stories, practical strategies, and interactive exercises to show nurses how to stand up, show up, and speak up both in their personal and professional lives. See the Presentation Flyer.
Anatomy of a Highly Functioning Team
Today, the power of a healthy and highly effective team is more important than ever. True teamwork contributes to the bottom line and creates not only job fulfillment, but also goal fulfillment.
If your organization is struggling to accomplish its goals, trying to work through a transition due to change of ownership, new direction, or downsizing, Diane can help you create and sustain your ideal team.
Specializing in healthcare organizations, Diane facilitates staff, leaders and board members in finding their voice—both individually and as a team—to move through tough transitions using assessments, focus groups, conflict management skills, and thematic goal setting.
Finding your voice in your organization means finding your power, purpose, and presence in your work every single day, and requires the group support of a highly functional team.
Building a successful team is not complicated, but it does take discipline and focus, and Diane’s facilitation can provide the necessary structure and direction by showing you how to:
• Communicate more effectively and efficiently
• Learn the importance of trust in a team
• Master conflict management skills
• Understand the importance of accountability
• Practice the power of full engagement and full commitment
• Identify thematic goals
• Prioritize the team
Teamwork remains the one sustainable competitive advantage that has been largely untapped”

The Depression Cure
Diane helped initiate a ground breaking program at the Wellness Treatment Center, an Intensive Outpatient program in Denver, Colorado.
The Center provides a comprehensive treatment system for individuals with behavioral health conditions using the TLC program, (Therapeutic Lifestyle Change) which incorporates six lifestyle choices of nutrition, exercise, sleep habits, social interaction, meaningful activity and light therapy. Remarkable results have been achieved when these lifestyle choices are practiced on a consistent, and specific basis.
We all know these healthy lifestyle choices will “help” mental illness, but the cumulative effect of practicing these choices are amazingly empowering as people take control of their lives and avoiding additional medications and more aggressive treatment options.
The statistics from Steve Ilardi’s latest book, The Depression Cure, (which the program was initially based) are impressive, but learn how Diane has personally witnessed the success of both her clients and herself with the use of this program, and how the TLC program can benefit anyone, clinically depressed or not.
Reproductive Health Conference Attendee
"Thank you for such a wonderful talk on Friday. It was the best ending to a conference to date. I have been getting up earlier (which is not my favorite) to do my practice. I know it has only been 6 days but I have become more aware of how last minute, run out the door I am. I love the breathing technique".
Safeco Conference Attendee
“You were speaking directly to me with your Chaos to Calm program this week! I have lost 100 pounds and instead of appreciating it, I have been beating myself up for not losing the last 20. Thank you for helping me focus on myself and giving me a tool to keep working towards my goal(s).”
Safeco Conference Attendee
“I had the immense pleasure of hearing you speak at the Safeco meeting in Branson. I am the one that thanked you afterwards, so choked with tears, I couldn't complete a sentence. Your gentle reminder that living in chaos is not good for the soul really spoke to me, as my life lately has been filled with it. External pressures and daily uncomfortable situations at my job, have been taking a toll on my mental & physical well-being. I'm going to change that. Thank you!”
Jennifer Goodhope, Marketing Director Safeco
"You have the wonderful ability to engage the audience by being yourself and not forcing extra energy into the presentation just because you’re the keynote. Your approach and delivery is refreshing. I can’t think of the last time a keynote made me feel both calm and energized versus receiving a quick “gotta get ‘er done” jolt. I guess it the difference between feeling awake because you got a good night’s rest versus an infusion of caffeine in the morning".
