Breaks Down Walls
Whatever the message being presented, some people decide they’re simply not going to listen and they build a wall between themselves and the communicator. If the message is to be heard—if the gathering’s purpose is to be realized—then those walls must be torn down. Few things do this work more effectively than laughter.
When the walls fall down, laughter is shared among individuals and community begins. Though we occasionally laugh by ourselves, laughter’s natural environment is in community. That’s where we notice that laughter is contagious. When a group becomes infected, there is no better environment for effective communication—no better place for a message to be heard.
Healthy, whole people are happy people. Happy people create effective communities. Effective communities get things done well.
